Land Environment Plan

A Land Environment Plan is an auditable document that provides evidence that you are managing your land resources efficiently and in a way that minimises the environmental impact of your business

Identify and mitigate risks

The Environmental plan identifies the environmental risks your farming operation faces and demonstrates how these can be changed and mitigated, ensuring your farming operation complies with all the new environmental regulations including regional council water plan rules.

Keep your Plan up to date

An Environmental Plan is intended to be a living document that can be reviewed and updated to reflect changes on your land as they happen, helping to manage future risks.

Include a Nutrient Budget

An essential part of a Land Environment Plan is a comprehensive Nutrient Budget, which tells you how much a specific nutrient is entering and leaving your farm, including where. This information can be used to judge how efficient your farm system is in its use of available nutrients.

A completed Plan will demonstrate that you have assessed the environmental risks on your land and have developed an action plan for continual development
